Another Upcoming Review from CSN!!!

I am so excited to have been contacted by CSN to another great review!!!

CSN has over 200 stores and I find myself looking for something online and I always seem to go back to CSN to find it. I love that it's a one stop shop for pretty much anything you may need.
While browsing through their stores looking for my next review product, I stopped to look at their dining room furniture

If I ever have a bigger house I would love to have a breakfast nook.  I just think they are cozy and would be great to sit at and have a family meal.
I really liked this one

Looks pretty cozy to me!!!

Stay tuned for my next CSN review!!!

So that's almost a half pound loss, I'll take it!! I still need to get back on the exercise bandwagon so this weight will come off faster. And I want to start building muscle again. It's only 20 minutes, I need to make it a priority. So hopefully this time next week I will be saying how I worked out at least 3 days and had a good loss!!

Charm Factory Review and Giveaway!!!

I have loved charm bracelets since I was a little girl. There is something about picking out special little charms that have a meaning to you that I just love! Each charm can bring back that special memory from that point in your life! That is why I was tickled pink when Charm Factory agreed to do a review and giveaway here on my blog.

Charm Factory offers a huge variety of sterling silver charms, charm bracelets and more!! They have such a wide variety of charms that I had a hard time choosing which ones I wanted to try. While I was searching their site I immediately fell in love with their baby charms. They have the cutest baby charms, and each one brought back a special memory from when Luke was a baby (of course he will always be a baby in my eyes!!)

My favorite charm is the Baby Feet Heart Charm

Of course I also love this Checkered Flag Charm
And this Speed charm

Charm Factory has something for everyone. A charm bracelet would make a great gift for any of the women in your life, and I think it would be a treasured keepsake for years to come. I know mine will be!!

I chose charms that represented things about Luke. Each charm has a special meaning to me and I would love to add more as the years go on!!

Here are some pictures of my bracelet

I chose the charms and Charm Factory put them all together on a beautiful bracelet. This is so nice because I know my charms are attached to the bracelet securely and I love the layout that they chose! This charm bracelet is very high quality, and beautiful!! I have been wearing it around and it has definitely gotten me some compliments. My only advice would be, if you choose a picture frame charm like I did, you will need to print your pictures out on regular paper, as my photo paper was too thick to fit two pictures down into the charm. Also, the photo's that you put in your charm are not waterproof, so I ruined a set of pictures while washing my hands. An easy fix is to just spray your photo's with an acrylic sealer before inserting them into the charm and they should be fine while washing hands etc. This is what I plan on doing!!

Want to win one?? Charm Factory wants to give one of my readers their choice of 8 charms!!! They will put them on a bracelet for you, just like they did mine!!!!

Mandatory Entry: Head over to Charm Factory and check out their wide selection, then come back here and tell me what your favorite charm is!!!

Zoodles Review & Giveaway!!!

Luke loves to play on the computer. He can use the mouse to click and push the keys on the keyboard. He loves to play games, but he also goes crazy with clicking and has messed up my computer on more than one occasion. The last time he had somehow changed the date and every site that I would visit would say that the security certificate was expired. I thought I had some kind of virus, but no, it was Luke clicking away.
After that, I went on the hunt for software for children. Something that would disable everything but what I wanted him to play with. About a month later I was contacted by Zoodles to do a review and giveaway of their browser!!

As soon as I downloaded it I knew it was what I had been looking for! Here is a little bit about Zoodles.
"Our goal is to give kids a safe place to play and learn online. We knew that we couldn’t just give kids a typical browser and send them off to explore. Most sites today are way too complicated for young kids to navigate on their own, and they don’t provide enough safety from all the bad stuff lurking on the web.
So, we started from scratch. We built a FREE browser, especially for kids, that makes it simple for them to find lots of fun activities – all by themselves. By launching the icon on your desktop, your child will enter a full-screen mode of Zoodles that will keep them from exiting out and finding inappropriate content or accidentally deleting your important files."

My favorite feature is the full screen browser!! You click on the icon on your desktop and it opens up the browser. From there on, your start menu is gone! Luke can not click on anything but the browser. He can't even close the browser out, if you click on the x to close it, you have to type in "quit" to get it to close. I don't have to worry about him getting into the control panel or any of the other trouble he has gotten into while playing on the computer!

This is a screen shot of what it looks like once you have opened the browser. See, full screen!

Once you click on the picture of the child that is going to play you will see this.
Zoodles chooses games that are age appropriate, so these are games that are appropriate for a two year old child. There are pages and pages of games for Luke to play. I love the variety as Luke gets bored of one game pretty quick. You just click on the game they want to play and it opens it up, still in the full screen mode and they can play, when they are done with that game they can click on games and go back and choose another one.

To get an idea of what games are offered click HERE to check out the PBS Sprout games and click HERE to check out the games offered for 2 year olds!!

Zoodles also offer parents the option of blocking ads and filtering violence. I know I have looked at the computer while Luke was on it and wondered "what the heck is this" well, he had clicked on an ad, so this is a definite plus. And I don't want Luke playing violent games, so this is a must!
Zoodles has parental controls also that lets you encourage certain subjects! If your child is having problems in math, you can choose to encourage math games, etc.

Here is what the parental control screen looks like. Notice that it tells me what Luke has learned based on the games he has played?

And if that's not enough, Zoodles also has a timer!! You can set a timer for week days and week ends! Once the timer ends, the screen goes back to the log in page. This would be so nice for older kids but also helps me get Luke off the computer when its time!
The browser is free to download but to access the parental controls, you will need to purchase a membership.

Here are some pictures of Luke using Zoodles!!

Zoodles wants to give 3 of my readers a 3 month membership for FREE!!!!

Mommyhood Monday!!!

A Letter to my Son

Dear Luke,
I wanted to make sure you knew how much Mommy loves you. You are the meaning and inspiration in my life. You are my heart, and my soul. I believe that my meaning in life was to be your Mommy. It amazes me how much you've learned and grown in the last two years. Everyday is something new, something special. I look forward to everyday with you, every new thing you experience. I love playing with you or just watching you play. You are growing up way too fast for me, and I can believe how smart, funny and cute (to say the least) that you are. At the end of the day, after you take your bath and we've read a book, when we sit on the recliner and just watch t.v., that is the best part of the day. I live for that.
Mommy will always love you, stand behind you, cheer for you, be happy for you and be proud of you, no matter what you do in your life. I will do everything in my power to make sure you have everything you need to make your life what you want it to be. Although our lives are not turning out exactly how I had planned them, we are alright and will be alright, we will be better than alright! This is just the beginning of our journey and I thank God everyday that I have you and that I was blessed to be your Mommy.

Love,
Mommy

Losing It Thursday!!!

It's weigh in time again!! I can't believe it has been a week already!

So here goes nothing....

Last weeks weight

And here's this weeks weight

So just a very slight loss. I'll take it. I slacked off on the exercise this past week and I'm really missing it. We were just busy and Luke has been wanting to go outside and play every evening after work, so I chose to do that instead. Next week is back to it, I need it and it's only 20 minutes I just need to get back on routine!

I missed my goal of being 189 by mid July. So I am giving myself until the second week in August to make this goal. This should be plenty of time to get about 3 more pounds off. Hopefully I'll get it off sooner but I'm trying to make my goals doable.

I'm linking this up at Marvelous Mommy, be sure to check out all the other links too! And hey, maybe even link up your own!
